Jaw Pain

Jaw pain is usually caused by TMJ dysfunction/teeth clenching due to stress in the night, trauma to the head or jaw area, dental trauma like root canal, removal of teeth, having braces , having the mouth open for longer time which can cause stress/strain to the muscles of the jaw, less opening of the mouth, chewing difficulties, clicking/ locking sound, pain in the muscles associated with the joint, pain in the ear or head, sinus problem, toothache, trigeminal neuralgia.

An osteopath manages the jaw pain by examining the jaw muscles, ligaments, the joint disc, neck articulation, head and face bones and the muscles connecting the jaw, any dysfunction in the lower spine or rest of the body to find out the cause for the jaw pain and treat it holistically and effectively with gentle and safe manipulation.
